Day Trip to Stout's Island Lodge
Posted: March 13, 2014
Join us for a lovely May journey to Stout's Island Lodge on Wednesday, May 21, 2014.
Stout's Island Lodge is a beautiful lumber baron's island estate located on Red Cedar Lake near Mikana. In 1903, Frank D. Stout built the impressive summer estate for his family, which was modeled after the famous Adirondack camps of New York.
The group will enjoy lunch in the Ice House, and then explore the history of Stout's Island Lodge on a guided tour.
The coach bus will leave the Chippewa Valley Museum in Eau Claire's Carson Park at 9:30 am and return at approximately 5:00 pm.
The cost is $60 for Chippewa Valley Museum members, $65 for non-members, and includes transportation, lunch, and the guided tour.
Call Liz Reuter at 715.834.7871 for more information, or to register by Monday, May 5.
