Summer Programs for Kids

Children are invited to the Chippewa Valley Museum this summer for fun weekly Kaleidoscope classes exploring the local history and culture of the Chippewa Valley. Each 90-minute class features hands-on experiences as students visit museum exhibits, enjoy special presentations with guest speakers, participate in fun activities, and make new friends! Classes are held at the Chippewa Valley Museum located in scenic Carson Park, unless otherwise noted.
"Kaleidoscope: Museum Explorers" is offered for preschoolers ages 3-5 on Tuesday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on four dates throughout the summer:
Week 1: June 27 - On the Farm
Week 2: July 11 - All Dressed
Week 3: July 25 - At Home
Week 4: August 1 - Let's Eat
"Kaleidoscope: Time Travelers" is offered for children ages 6-12 on Wednesday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on six dates throughout the summer:
Week 1: June 28 - Flying Machines (Held at flying field at a special time: 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.)
Week 2: July 12 - Leatherheads Reunion
Week 3: July 19 - Harnessing History
Week 4: July 26 - Magic Show (Held at the Schlegelmilch House, 517 South Farwell Street)
Week 5: August 9 - All in a Day's Work
Week 6: August 16 - Sunnyview Picnic

Museum Explorers (Ages 3-5)
Time Travelers (Ages 6-12)
Cost per class for non-members of the museum is $8 or $5 per child with museum membership. Prices are $4 and $3 per class for every additional child enrolled.
