4th of July Celebrations Moves Online
Posted: June 4, 2020
The museum will be holding a Virtual Fourth of July celebration this year. The museum will not be open on the Fourth of July. You can watch the video announcement below.
Guidelines from the CDC and State and County Boards of Health have strongly encouraged taking slow steps towards returning to large events and mass gatherings. Consistently, 1,500 - 2,500 people visit the museum's campus on the Fourth of July. We are not certain, at this time, we can ensure the reasonable safety of our guests in a gathering of that size.
Rather than cancel outright, we have decided to put together our first ever Virtual Fourth of July celebration! With support from sponsors Charter Bank, Royal Credit Union, and Northwestern Bank, the Chippewa Valley Museum's Virtual Fourth of July will include performances, games, music, and history. There will even be a virtual cakewalk! Look to the museum's website, Facebook and Instagram accounts for announcements and schedule of events.
